
Enfield Society Heritage walk: Enfield Town

Enfield developed from a number of scattered hamlets in the ancient Forest of Middlesex. Following the Norman Conquest, the Manor of Enfield was established to include Enfield Chase, as a royal hunting forest. Discover 1,000 years of history, a conservation area and many buildings of local and national interest.
In partnership with the Enfield Cycling Campaign, Better Streets Enfield and Enfield Council’s Journeys and Places Team, the Enfield Society is leading a guided heritage walk around the Enfield Town on Sunday 25th May.
The walk starts at 10.00 am on Sunday 25th May and circles around the Enfield Town Conservation Area. The walk is suitable for all ages and will take into account varying levels of ability. The walk will finish at about 11.45 in the Town Centre.
