This is our first AGM post Covid. Face to face committee meetings resumed last year and the committee continues promoting the conservation of Southgate Green.
Committee members have attended regular meetings of the Enfield Forum and Friends of Parks as well as organised our own activities. We review planning applications affecting Southgate Green as well as new and proposed changes such as LTNs, and cycle routes.

Environment
SGA, and local cllr met with Head of Parks in Oct 2022 to discuss replacement gates for Minchenden Oak Garden and other issues including tree planting, maintenance of the Oak garden and Green, footpath repairs, missing signage and litter bins etc. We are still waiting for replacement gate. Replacement trees have been planted in front of Walker School and the footpath behind it recently cleared of undergrowth.
Activities
In November 2022, we had a pop-up café on the Green with visual displays. This raised awareness of the Association an offered an opportunity for local people to voice any concerns about the Conservation area and Minchenden Oak Garden. In April, we hosted a guided tour around the Arnos side of the estate and this was well attended. A further walk is planned in June and later in the year, a visit to Canons Park with which we share a historical link with the Chandos estate. Our ward cllrs. have attended our meetings.
