Health services are not normally part of SGA’s remit. However as the consultation process appears not to have been widely publicised we attach below information about the consultation document and a forthcoming meeting.
Proposed changes to criteria for NHS treatment
Enfield CCG wants to hear your views on its proposals for changing the criteria to access some treatments available on the NHS. These may include changes to access to treatments for bunions, hernias, and knee replacements, as well as provision for eg. hearing aids. This is to assist the ECCG to secure the greatest health impact it can with its resources. The consultation process started on Wednesday 1st March 2017 and has now been extended to 30th April 2017. To find out more about the consultation, proposals and to complete an online questionnaire please click here. To facilitate the consultation, two events have been planned, the first took place on 22nd March 2017 (Hosted by Healthwatch Enfield). If you attended this event there is no need to attend the second event Hosted by EVA on 30th March 2017 as the content will be the same.
To find out more about the proposed changes and to hear a presentation, come along to the consultation event on Thursday 30th March 2017. The event is being facilitated by Ian Beever who will be producing a feedback report on discussions.
